Mrs. Caldwell is the owner of Enlightenment Consulting, LLC, a specially designed consulting company that provides motivating and inspiring professional development and training for public and private agencies, community organizations and parents. Training focuses on effective interventions and supports for children with special needs, children at-risk, and children who require specialized instruction. Enlightenment Consulting also provides parent training to support parents of children with disabilities or developmental delays with the tools they need to become effective advocates for their children.
She has forty-four years of experience in all areas of service for children with disabilities, particularly in the areas of compliance with disability law; program design and implementation from birth to age 22; conflict resolution and due process proceedings; and curriculum development. Nine of those years have specifically focused on supporting childcare providers with training on classroom design and intervention strategies to increase social emotional skill development for the young child.
Mrs. Caldwell’s career has included positions as a speech-language pathologist; special education teacher, coordinator and director; and adjunct professor at Texas A & M University - Corpus Christi.
Mrs. Caldwell’s presentations are reflective of her heartfelt passion for children with special needs and her inspirational leadership style embodies one of her favorite quotes from the Masai tribe, “How are the Children?” Her presentations inspire and equip her audience to respond, “All the children are well.”
